Do I need a drain camera inspection?
My main drain seems to be clogging up more frequently lately, even though I don’t put anything bad down it. A friend suggested I get a camera inspection, but I’m wondering if it’s worth the cost or if I should just try another round of drain cleaner. Does anyone have experience with these inspections? Is it actually helpful, or is it just a way to sell more services?

I used to think the same thing until I had to deal with a backed-up basement. Drain cleaners can actually damage your pipes if you use them too much, and they don't solve the underlying issue. A camera inspection is honestly the best investment you can make for your plumbing. I used https://pomplumbing.ca/drain-camera-inspection-toronto/ and they showed me exactly where a root had penetrated my main line. Knowing that allowed me to fix it once, correctly, rather than wasting money on ineffective chemicals for months. It is definitely worth it to get the clarity you need to actually solve the problem.
