Hey everyone, I wanted to ask something that came up after a discussion with a friend working at a small SaaS company. They recently moved most of their infrastructure to the cloud thinking it would simplify everything, but after a couple of months their monthly bill was way higher than expected. The strange part is that usage didn’t increase that much, so they’re trying to figure out where the extra cost is coming from. I was reading about cloud adoption and services here https://www.trinetix.com/services/cloud-services and it made me realize cloud pricing is way more complex than it looks at first glance. How do companies usually keep cloud costs under control without constantly limiting system performance?

I don’t work in cloud infrastructure, but this discussion is interesting because it shows how flexibility in systems can sometimes create new hidden problems. When resources are easy to spin up, people naturally stop thinking about long-term efficiency and just focus on immediate needs. I’ve seen similar patterns in other digital systems where convenience leads to less control over what’s actually being used. It really highlights how important visibility is—if people can’t clearly see consumption or impact, it becomes very hard to manage anything at scale.
