Have you ever been tricked by an app's promo images?

I totally fell for some misleading promo images in the app store recently. I was promised a seamless, intuitive experience with this productivity app, but it turned out to be a glitchy mess. Seriously, the screenshots looked like they were from a completely different app! I felt so betrayed. Anyone else ever experienced this? And do you have any tips for spotting fake or overly-optimistic app promos BEFORE you download? I could definitely use some advice!

Oh, you're definitely not alone there! I think most of us have been lured in by pretty pictures only to be disappointed. I actually read an article https://www.shineads.in/why-app-download-pages-reveal-more-about-a-product-than-most-people-think/ about this very thing recently; it talked about why app download pages reveal more about a product than most people think. It suggested paying close attention to the details – like the wording of the descriptions and the consistency of the screenshots.
